Of Iraqi origin, Zaha Hadid, born in 1950 in Baghdad, is one of the stars of contemporary architecture, along with Jean Nouvel, Frank Gerhy and Tadao Ando. She was the first woman to receive the Pritzker Prize in 2004 for her work. The creations of her agency with their lively style, rich in curves and counter-curves, have become famous throughout the world since the success of the Cardiff Opera House, the Canton Opera House and the Bridge Pavilion at the 2008 Zaragoza International Exhibition. In France, her current projects concern the new CMA-CGM Tower on the port of Marseille and the municipal archives building in Montpellier. Paris did not yet have one of her works: this will be done from April 28, 2011, since the Mobile Art Museum, a 720 m2 aerodynamic bodywork that Chanel had commissioned, will be shown for the first time in France and permanently installed on the forecourt of the Arab World Institute. This event is an opportunity to present Zaha Hadid's work, inside the Mobile on the forecourt.
