INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE - RENA DUMAS
A lover of light and materials, Rena Dumas has devoted a significant part of her career as an interior designer, which began in the 1970s, to developing and then developing Hermès spaces around the world with the agency she created, RDAI. Houses, offices, workshops, she has designed – and then built, from 2006 onwards – several hundred buildings for the legendary house, such as 24 Faubourg Saint Honoré, the Hermès houses in Ginza, Tokyo, with Renzo Piano, and Dosan, Korea, while collaborating with the same commitment for Artémis, Christies, Cap Gemini, John Lobb, Saint-Louis, Yves Saint Laurent, etc. Alongside her architecture and interior design projects, Rena Dumas has also cultivated a more secret garden: design. Around sixty creations, including the emblematic Pippa and Okéanis nomadic furniture collections, are presented in this book, alongside his most striking designs. We find the same attention to detail, as well as his unique work on materials and light.
