    M2 is a place located in the iconic Panier district, 5 minutes from the Old Port of Marseille and a stone's throw from the Mucem ; on the ground floor of a building built by the architect Fernand Pouillon in 1948 and labeled 20th century Heritage . This building…

    M2 is a place located in the iconic Panier district, 5 minutes from the Old Port of Marseille and a stone's throw from the Mucem ; on the ground floor of a building built by the architect Fernand Pouillon in 1948 and labeled 20th century Heritage .

    This building is part of the post-war reconstruction of the Old Port, modern in essence, the architect reinvents and reinterprets the Mediterranean tradition. Fernand Pouillon adopts stone as an industrial component and creates decorative elements in the pure tradition : ceramic claustras, wooden moucharabiehs, sculptures by Jean Amado in an archaic modern spirit, etc.)

    The project was completed almost at the same time as Le Corbusier 's Unité d'habitation, with a show apartment equipped with furniture from Jean Prouvé's workshops.

    The interior of this duplex once housed an architectural workshop. Its space is perfectly designed and thought out to offer optimal use of the 2 levels and a total immersion in the spirit of the neighborhood, taking advantage of its outdoor space available on the same level as the 1st level.

    Finally, a set of contemporary ceramic works completes this place associated with a selection of furniture designed by young contemporary designers .
