JOE COLOMBO
Joe Colombo (1930-1971) was one of the most famous designers of his time, creating many design classics for companies such as Kartell, Comfort, Zanetta, Oluce, Bernini, Bonacina, B-line and Alessi. But he was also one of the greatest visionaries of the 1960s, who, with his futuristic interiors and living modules, sought to anticipate the “housing of the future”. Colombo died at the age of just 41, at the height of his career, but the influence of his work has been felt to this day. This book offers a comprehensive overview of his entire body of work, with colour reproductions of sketches, architectural and interior plans, projects and photographs of objects. Interviews with contemporary designers of Joe Colombo allow a more personal approach to one of the most fascinating designers of the 1960s.
