The first work in the "Dico des rues de Paris" collection, the Historical, Architectural and Cultural Dictionary of the Champs-Elysées offers an exhaustive tour, between buildings and gardens, of the avenue on which, for three centuries, the history of France was played out.

Since Louis XIV and the layout of the promenade by Le Nôtre, regimes, invasions and coups d'état have coexisted on the avenue with the craziest and most accomplished manifestations of this French art of living which today serves as a showcase for the biggest global brands.

From yesterday to today, the Dico offers a look at the courtyard, behind each façade, in each square, a guided and exhaustive journey for the 300,000 daily walkers who, from Vuitton to the Arc de Triomphe, from Abercrombie to the Place de la Concorde, are looking for a memory today restored in an easy-to-use reference work.

Based on in-depth research in public and private archives, and written by a team of historians trained at the heritage school, The Historical, Architectural and Cultural Dictionary of the Champs-Elysées has a rich and varied iconography, which alternates old engravings, contemporary photos and 3D projection, in order to facilitate the reader's geolocation.
